George E. Allen, Sr.

George Edward Allen, Sr. was a Virginia state senator from 1916 to 1920 and a trial attorney who, with his three sons, founded the law firm of Allen, Allen, Allen amp Allen. He was born in Lunenburg County, Virginia and studied law at The University of Virginia. After having practiced law for more than twenty years in southside Virginia and having served as a state senator, he moved both his family and his law practice to the state capital of Richmond during the depression.
